Middle East Youth Summit (MEYS) is organized by Youth Break the Boundaries (YBB), a global youth organization registered under Indonesian law. YBB is the official owner and organizer of multiple international youth programs, including the Istanbul Youth Summit, Korea Youth Summit, Japan Youth Summit, World Youth Festival, and other global initiatives. Middle East Youth Summit is one of the many official programs hosted annually by YBB, emphasizing leadership, innovation, cultural exchange, and international collaboration.

Throughout the summit, participants will work in groups to create a project based on the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) topic they selected during registration. They will collaborate with youth from various countries, engage with experts and speakers aligned with the summit’s theme, and participate in meaningful discussions. The summit also includes cultural experiences such as city tours, university or institutional visits, and opportunities to attend award ceremonies and potentially win medals or recognitions. You can register by signing up through the program’s official website. For Middle East Youth Summit (MEYS), registration is available at middleeastyouthsummit.com. Prospective participants must create an account, log in to their dashboard, and complete all required forms and submissions. Please ensure that registration is done only through the program’s official websites to avoid misinformation or fraudulent sources.

Your registration form can only be submitted after you complete all required fields and finalize the payment of your registration fee. Once the payment is made, you may proceed to the submission dashboard and officially submit your form. A submission is considered valid only after both steps—form completion and fee payment—are fulfilled. Participants who have successfully submitted and validated their registration will later receive their Letter of Acceptance (LOA), Agreement Letter, Boarding Pass (to share to social media for additional exposure).

The Letter of Acceptance (LoA) is an official document confirming that your registration is complete, valid, and successfully submitted. However, receiving an LoA does not automatically mean you have been accepted as a Fully-Funded participant. For Fully-Funded applicants, the LoA indicates that your registration has passed the initial validation stage and will proceed to the next phase of selection, which includes an essay review and further assessments. For Self-Funded participants, the LoA serves as an official confirmation of your participation and may also be used as a supporting document for visa processing once the program fee has been fully paid.

The Letter of Acceptance for both Self-Funded and Fully-Funded applicants is released in four batches, based on the month in which participants register. Applicants who register during the first month will be included in Batch 1, those who register in the second month will be included in Batch 2, and so on until Batch 4. Full details for each announcement period can be found in the “Timeline of Program” section of this guidebook.

The confirmation process takes time, and participants are generally added to the official group approximately four months after registering, and after completing payments. During this waiting period, participants are expected to stay engaged through pre-orientation sessions, alumni sharing events, and important updates provided on official platforms and through email newsletters. These activities help participants stay informed and prepared for the summit.

YBB accepts both Fully-Funded and Self-Funded participants. Each category goes through a different selection process, but both receive equal opportunities, access, and benefits throughout the program. Further clarification on participant categories can be found in the “Types of Participants” section of this guidebook.

Participants who successfully pass the Fully-Funded selection process and are officially declared as Fully-Funded recipients will receive full coverage of the program fee, which includes all program facilities and benefits provided during the summit days. However, it is important to note that this funding does not cover international flight tickets, visa fees, or personal expenses. The detailed list of facilities included for Fully-Funded participants can be found in the “What Is Included and Not Included in the Program Fee” section of this guidebook.

The Fully-Funded seat does not include the cost of your visa, international flight ticket, or any personal expenses during the program. The funding strictly covers the program fee, which consists of accommodation, meals, venue access, summit kits, tours, and all facilities provided by the organizer throughout the summit.

Visa requirements and regulations differ from country to country, making visa processing a personal responsibility for each participant. Therefore, the organizer cannot include visa fees in the program or funding structure. However, YBB will assist participants by providing supporting documents such as a hotel booking confirmation (after completing the first program installment), a letter of invitation, or a guarantee letter when applicable. Participants are advised to consult their local embassy for detailed visa requirements and to follow the regulations specific to their home country.

Visa approval cannot be guaranteed by the organizer or any third party, as it depends entirely on factors such as your country’s visa approval rate, your travel history, and your financial documents. Participants must apply for a tourist visa, not a business or conference visa, as this type is generally easier to process. The organizer will provide necessary supporting documents if applicable, but the final decision rests solely with the embassy.

The number of Fully-Funded participants varies each year and depends on the quality of submitted essays and interview performance. If many applicants achieve high essay scores (for example, 85 or above), more Fully-Funded seats may be awarded. There is no fixed quota; instead, selection is based on merit, the strength of ideas, and how well applicants present their concepts during the interview process.

To become a Fully-Funded participant, applicants must prepare a strong and well-developed idea from the beginning. The essay should follow the official guidelines provided in the “Essay Guideline” section of this guidebook. If the essay meets the required criteria, the applicant will be invited to an interview, where they must present and defend their idea in front of judges or interviewers. The more compelling and innovative your idea is, the higher your chances of being selected as a Fully-Funded participant.

The Fully-Funded selection consists of three main stages. The first stage is form evaluation, where the organizer determines whether the applicant is eligible for essay review; applicants who pass this stage will receive a Letter of Acceptance to proceed. The second stage is the essay review, where the submitted essay is evaluated and scored based on predetermined criteria. Applicants who meet the scoring threshold will advance to the final stage—the interview, where they present their idea directly to the judges. Final selections are made based on the combined results of all three stages.

No. Registrants who do not pass the interview selection—or are not invited to the interview stage—may still participate as Self-Funded participants. They do not need to repay the registration fee but simply need to complete the remaining program fee payment to secure their position in the event. This ensures that all applicants still have the opportunity to join the summit regardless of Fully-Funded selection results.

You can upload your agreement letter through the Documents section on your website profile. Simply click “Documents,” then upload the file there. After submitting, you will be able to see its review status displayed below your uploaded document, indicating whether it has been checked by the admin or is still pending. This step ensures that your agreement letter has been signed correctly. Once it is approved, the status will appear as “success.”

To stay updated on your application progress, you can monitor all official channels, including email newsletters—so make sure to check your inbox regularly—and follow the program’s social media platforms. Yes. All registrants—including Fully-Funded applicants—must complete the required payments to confirm their participation in the program. This includes the registration fee and the program fee installments. Participants who require supporting documents for visa applications must complete the first installment of the program fee before the organizer can assist with those documents. Payment is part of the confirmation process, ensuring that all participants remain eligible and compliant with program requirements.

Yes, Fully-Funded registrants may choose to delay payment until after the interview announcement. However, they will not receive any assistance with supporting documents for visa applications until the required program fee payment is completed. Participants who need these documents are strongly encouraged to make the payment earlier.

If a registrant qualifies for the interview stage but has not yet made the program fee payment, they must sign the declaration letter attached to the Fully-Funded interview invitation email. This letter confirms their willingness to proceed with the interview process. Failure to sign and return the declaration letter means the applicant cannot continue to the interview stage. However, the registrant may still join the program as a Self-Funded participant by completing the program fee payment if they still wish to participate.

Payments made to the organizer are non-refundable. The decision to join the program is entirely up to each registrant, and the organizer does not force participation. Once payments are made, the organizing team begins preparing facilities under your name—such as booking accommodations, preparing seminar kits, and securing event resources. This policy is clearly stated in the agreement letter received after the LoA is issued and in the “Refund Policy” section of this guidebook. Registrants are encouraged to carefully consider their schedule, availability, and commitment before confirming their participation.

If your bank account is not supported by the payment options available on the website, or if your debit/credit card cannot be processed by our provider (Midtrans), you may choose the “manual payment” option and complete the transaction directly through your bank card or teller. However, for manual payments, you must inform the admin because you cannot upload the payment proof yourself; the admin must upload it on your behalf. Failure to confirm this step may delay the submission of your form.

If your payment shows “rejected by provider,” it generally means the issue originates from your bank. Some banks limit international transactions—especially above approximately USD 300—so you may need to contact your bank to adjust the limit or request assistance. Alternatively, you may switch to manual payment or use another method such as PayPal or bank teller support.

When the status shows “pending,” it may indicate that the generated payment has not yet been paid or that the admin has not reviewed and updated your payment status. Please wait until the status changes to “success” after review.

If your payment status appears as “cancelled” or “failed,” it may be due to unclear or suspicious proof of payment, or because the generated payment code expired before you completed the transaction. Payment codes automatically expire after two hours, so you will need to generate a new one through the Payment tab when you are ready to pay again.
